This solo presentation brings together a focused series of large-scale cyanotypes that examine the intersection of photographic history and contemporary astronomical discovery.

Each work is defined by a saturated Prussian blue field, produced through traditional cyanotype chemistry, and offset by subtle interventions of 23.75 Karat Shell Gold that accentuate the luminous presence of distant galaxies. These points of light activate shifts in depth and perception, drawing the viewer into an expansive, immersive visual field.

Conceptually, the work is anchored in the legacy of Sir John Herschel, who developed the cyanotype process in 1842 while working as an astronomer. This dual history informs the project, positioning it as both homage and reimagining bridging early photographic experimentation with current cosmological imaging, including references to the first recorded image of a black hole.

Produced on hand crafted French paper, the works emphasise material sensitivity and duration. Developed over three years, the series reflects a sustained investigation into perception, time, and the translation of scientific knowledge into visual form.
